It's all because of you and of your support of this endeavor. Almost two decades in, it's as fresh and challenging as it was in our first year.
Back in 1992 we sourced our produce from the greenmarket, before it was fashionable. We sold exclusively estate-bottled wine from small producers. We had a mechanical cash register (not a computer). We had no cell phones and no Facebook. Yet somehow we survived.
In fact we thrived. I think it's because the principles we founded our business on back in 1992 hold well into this brave new world. In fact, I think they're more necessary than ever. Be a part of the community. Bring people extraordinary food. Make the connections between the farmer (and wine grower) and guests at table. Feed people with great food, but also nourish communities of people.
So thank you. Thank you for patronizing our places. Thank you continuing to make us a part of your lives...oh, and yea, thank you for voting in the Zagat Survey!
